Ramanjit was diagnosed with decompensated liver cirrhosis secondary to chronic Hepatitis B in early 2022. By the time she reached Dr. Sahota's clinic, she had developed significant ascites and her MELD score had crossed 22. Her family had already begun to lose hope.

After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Sahota and his team determined that Ramanjit was a suitable candidate for a living donor liver transplant. Her younger brother volunteered as the donor. The surgery, performed at DMC&H Ludhiana, lasted approximately nine hours and went without complication.

Ramanjit was discharged fourteen days after surgery. Within four months she had stopped requiring any ascites drainage and her liver function tests had normalised. She is now two years post-transplant, fully active, and continues her regular follow-up every three months.

"I owe my life to Dr. Sahota and the entire team at LiverGuru. They treated me with so much care and made sure my family understood every step of the process."
